APSC is the most prestigious civil services organization in Assam. As a newbie, you may get confused about APSC 2023 and its syllabus. So, here in this post, I have precisely but shortly stated all the sections both for CCE prelims and mains.

APSC 2023 and its syllabus for Prelims

Well, Prelims consist of two papers namely GS and CSAT. GS means General Studies. CSAT means Civil Services Aptitude Test. The total marks in each paper is 200. This means 200 + 200 = 400. In GS 1 there will be 100 questions carrying 2 marks each while in GS 2, there will be 80 questions carrying 2.5 marks each.

We can arrange the topics of GS 1 into 7 categories.

  • Geography
  • Indian Polity
  • Economics
  • General Science
  • Environmental Science
  • Current Affairs

GS 2 mainly consists of 3 topics.

  • Logical Reasoning
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • English Comprehension

GS 2 will check your decision making capacity. So, most questions will be centered towards judgement.
