APSC 2023 and its syllabus for Prelims
Well, Prelims consist of two papers namely GS and CSAT. GS means General Studies. CSAT means Civil Services Aptitude Test. The total marks in each paper is 200. This means 200 + 200 = 400. In GS 1 there will be 100 questions carrying 2 marks each while in GS 2, there will be 80 questions carrying 2.5 marks each.
We can arrange the topics of GS 1 into 7 categories.
- Indian Polity
- General Science
- Environmental Science
- Current Affairs
GS 2 mainly consists of 3 topics.
- Logical Reasoning
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Comprehension
GS 2 will check your decision making capacity. So, most questions will be centered towards judgement.
Now, let’s discuss about what to study starting with GS 1.
Both Assam and India. You have to read thoroughly Indian History. You have to cover Ancient, Medieval, Colonial and Modern History.
